Play Rooms

In addition to our dedicated childcare rooms, we also have a number of fantastic play rooms dedicated to fun and stimulating activities for each age group.

Computer Room

Computer Room

Computing continues to be one of the fastest growing fields, yet computer science is rarely part of children’s core education. We believe that giving our children opportunities to explore and learn on computers is critical to supporting their academic success and beyond. At Faith we make computer science exciting, creative, and fun for a wide range of skill and confidence levels in a specially created environment.

Montessori, Maths & Literacy Room

Each child is valued as a unique individual. Montessori education recognizes that children learn in different ways, and accommodates all learning styles. At Faith our children are free to learn at their own pace, each advancing through the curriculum as he/she is ready, guided by the teacher and an individualized learning plan.

Supermarket

Supermarket

Our supermarket is linked to the home corner area; play kitchen. During the day children can indulge in some pretend cooking, setting up the table, making a shopping list and off to supermarket to pick and pay for what is needed.

Children develop their language and writing skills, cognitive skills, social skills, problem solving skills, counting and the concept of money and gross motor skills. Our supermarket shelves are stocked with real packaging, all recycled.

Music Stage / Role Play

At Faith Montessori Nursery, we strongly support role play activities.  Pretend play activities help children to take the role of “somebody or something”.

At an early age, children love to “pretend” and play “make-believe”. Over and above the fun that it offers, pretend play is the main way kids explore, learn and make sense of and understand the world around them.

Role play is essential not only because it fires up children’s creativity and imagination, but also because it helps to develop critical skills such as communication, empathy, and socialization.

Through this activity, children can learn different talents and attitudes. They will also become adept at expressing their feelings and build up language and gross motor skills.

Sensory Room

Sensory Room

Our Sensory Room, is a specially designed room which combines a range of stimuli to help children develop and engage their senses. We have lights, colours, sounds, sensory soft play objects and different smells all within a safe environment that allows the children using it to explore and interact in a calm and stimulating environment.

Library

Excellent reading habits begin in the early years. Introducing children to literature in preschool supports reception (school) readiness, promotes early literacy and supports a love of language and reading.

Our dedicated library is a distinct area with a variety of board books, picture books, story sacks, theatre, early readers, a reading/relaxation tent and comfortable seating. Our library promotes development and learning in many ways; Physical Development, Language and Literacy, cognitive and critical thinking skills and it enhances their creativity and social development.
